Protection and bonuses solve different problems
Enshrouded armor provides physical and magical protection alongside piece-specific bonuses. A protective value and a bonus supporting your weapon are different parts of the comparison. Identify your primary weapon and combat direction before choosing the pieces.
Armor broadly supports melee, ranged and magic playstyles. It can be crafted or found as loot, so a set’s source matters as well as its appearance. The build guide explains how equipment bonuses fit the wider combat plan.
Compare the five equipment slots
The researched equipment categories include head, chest, hands, legs and feet. Compare those slots independently instead of assuming that a complete matching set is always the best choice. Read the current item tooltips for the protection and effects each piece offers.
An appearance showcase can help you recognize a set. It cannot establish an objective combat ranking or prove that old statistics are unchanged. The older showcase also predates later releases, so its set list should not be treated as complete for the current game.
- Identify your primary weapon and build before selecting bonuses.
- Compare head, chest, hands, legs and feet independently.
- Unlock the relevant crafting survivor and material tier.
- Distinguish a crafted recipe from a world-drop set.
- Recheck item tooltips after combat or equipment updates.
Choose the relevant crafting survivor
The Blacksmith, Hunter and Alchemist are the main corresponding crafters for melee, ranged and magic equipment. Unlock the survivor and material tier relevant to the pieces you want. A missing crafting recipe is different from a set that must be obtained as a world drop.
Distinguish a crafted recipe from loot before planning a material trip. The research does not provide a universal recipe quantity or a guaranteed drop route for every set. Use the visible recipe and item description to determine the next practical task.
Keep cosmetics and version changes separate
Appearance-only outfits should be discussed separately from combat armor. A visually striking costume does not establish protection, damage or other equipment bonuses. Choose it for appearance without confusing it with the armor comparison.
Official equipment updates provide the reason to recheck item tooltips after combat changes. Use the skill-tree guide and weapon guide to reassess how the pieces fit your current setup. No final armor-stat table or release-build ranking is supplied by the research.
