Search Revelwood for the right deposit
Lump of Clay is mined from reddish or orange-brown deposits in Revelwood. Start with the region rather than searching starter Springlands terrain for an arbitrary rock deposit. Bring a pickaxe so you can gather once you identify the material.
The early route described by multiple guides is northeast of the Farmer’s Ancient Vault. The area around the Revelwood Ancient Spire is another useful search area once accessible. Use those landmarks alongside the map guide, rather than inventing an exact coordinate.
Prepare a useful gathering trip
Bring a repaired pickaxe and leave free inventory space before travelling. Identify the colored deposit on rock instead of mining every nearby surface. Once the Spire is unlocked, consider it as a convenient return point for the route.
Clay gathering should serve a current crafting goal. Check the recipe you are preparing before deciding how much material to collect. The research confirms the building and station connection but does not establish a universal quantity for every recipe.

- Look northeast of the Farmer's Ancient Vault for colored deposits on rock.
- Bring a repaired pickaxe and free inventory space.

Clay and building progression
Clay appears in crafting-station and building recipes. The researched video description also connects gathering clay with Kiln and Fired Brick progression. That gives a use for the material without proving an unchanged recipe list for the full release.
For a workshop project, read the base design guide. Keep the gathering route connected to the station or building task you actually need. If another recipe requires Goo, use its separate crafting chain instead of treating every material as a mined deposit.
Landmarks are stronger than old screenshots
The written guides agree on the Farmer’s Vault direction and the deposit’s orange-brown appearance. The selected route videos are Early Access references, and one identifies clay gathering in Revelwood. They should not be treated as proof that an exact old node survives every world update.
The original diagram shows the search region and landmark relationship. It does not represent a game screenshot, route scale or guaranteed yield. For a second Revelwood gathering task, the Amber route explains its different Shroud setting and return preparation.
