When does Enshrouded release, and which date applies to my platform?

Keen announces October 15, 2026 for the full PC and PS5 release. The date refers to the finished release milestone rather than the first opportunity to play the PC game. On the October 13 research date, that milestone is still upcoming.

The developer announcement and its launch press release agree on the PC and PS5 calendar date. PlayStation’s announcement also identifies the PS5 date. Treat these announcements as launch plans, and check your platform’s regional listing before arranging a session.

Early Access is a different milestone

Enshrouded entered Steam Early Access on January 24, 2024. A Steam listing showing that date is describing the original PC release rather than contradicting the announced full release. When comparing store pages, first establish whether each date refers to Early Access or the full version.

Older predictions for a full release in 2025 or spring 2026 have been superseded by the announced date. They should not drive a purchase or a plan to return with friends. The relevant distinction is the release milestone and platform, rather than which old search result appears first.

1. Identify whether the question means Early Access, PC 1.0, PS5, or Xbox.
2. Use October 15, 2026 for the announced PC/PS5 full release.
3. Treat spring 2027 as an Xbox release window, not a fixed date.
4. Check the current platform store for local availability; do not derive a global unlock time from the calendar date.

Xbox follows a separate schedule

Xbox Series X|S is planned for spring 2027. That is a release window, so it cannot be converted into an exact day or a precise unlock time. The October PC and PS5 date does not also apply to Xbox.

A calendar date alone does not establish one global unlock moment. Check local availability on the relevant official store rather than calculating an unlock hour from the announcement. Separate platform availability from multiplayer features when choosing where your group will play.

Preparing an existing world

Returning PC owners should also read the save compatibility guide. The launch FAQ addresses conversion of Early Access saves and makes a fresh start optional. Those save decisions are separate from the date shown on a store page.

For a console purchase, compare the PS5 listing with the later Xbox plans. A platform announcement does not prove that players on different systems can share a world. Read the crossplay answer before your group buys copies on different platforms.
